Psalms 19:7-11

Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple. Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb. Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.

The Bible is the message from God for us today, written by his prophets under inspiration of his spirit. When the word of God is understood and believed, it is able to show us the love of God for us through Jesus Christ and to convince us that he has the power to work in us to change our thinking, our desires and our lives, and transform us into “children of God”. Because the Bible is a message from God he has decided it has everything we need to know about Him and His plans.

It is a good thing to make a habit of regular daily reading of the Bible. This is the way to access the knowledge, wisdom and understanding to develop and maintain a true and fulfilling relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ, leading us on the journey to his everlasting kingdom.
